Muse
Privacy Policy
Effective June 16, 2026 (v1.0)
Privacy first: Muse is designed so that we never see your data. There are no accounts, no servers of ours, no analytics, and no ads. Every photo and journal entry stays on your device.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Personal information
We collect no personal information. Muse requires no account, email, or identifier of any kind. You can use the app completely anonymously.
1.2 Journal data
Everything you enter is stored locally on your device: the photos you capture or import, and the details you add — title, artist, genre, venue, mood, heart rating, impressions, and the color palette extracted from each image. This data never leaves your device except through the share features you choose to use.
1.3 Analytics
We collect no analytics or usage data. Muse contains no third-party analytics SDKs, tracking, or telemetry — and no advertising.
2. Camera and photos
Muse asks for camera permission so you can photograph artwork, and for photo-library permission only when you choose to import an existing image. Photos are stored in the app's local storage on your device and are never uploaded to us.
3. Sharing a report
When you share a piece or a report, you choose the destination through the standard iOS share sheet. Muse does not transmit anything on its own.
4. Purchases
Muse Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The purchase is validated on-device using Apple's StoreKit — there is no third-party purchase server, and we never see your name, email, or payment details.
5. Children's privacy
Muse is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
6. Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
